Biography
Afxentis Afxentiou is a Lecturer of Public Sector Management and Academic Research Grant Writer at UoL. He holds a PhD in Political Theory from the University of Brighton. His doctoral thesis “The politics and ethics of drone bombing in its historical context” was awarded in 2019. His research interests and expertise relate to challenges of social inclusion, with focus on processes of democratisation and methods and approaches to creating societies that are inclusive, sustainable and just. He has published in international journals on international politics, security studies, political theory, and pedagogical practices. In addition to his academic background has experience in research funding acquisition in various EU-funded programs including Erasmus+, AMIF, ISF, COSME, and Horizon Europe.
